Dear President Donald J. Trump:
1. I have not heard back from you or your administration about my interest in succeeding Karoline Leavitt’s Press Secretary role as the Warden of the Press.
2. I have since deleted the post.
3. I understand the administration might still be in denial that the great Karoline is gone and as such the search to fulfill this role has been reasonably delayed. I saw JD Vance give a press conference after Karoline’s departure and he said “who is an amazing person, an amazing mom, was an amazing colleague here at the White House and was not just a person who stood up here and answered your questions and I think so did admirably, but was also just an amazing part of the very cohesive team that we had working here in the West wing.” If that is the case, I may entertain future discussion of accepting the position if any will be.
4. I understand being the “Warden” of the Press extends an additional sort of administrative authority that may be perceived as unusual for the Press Secretary position. I am willing to let go of this title and adopt the “United States Secretary Ward of Coverage” (e.g., lesser title or more aligned) in exchange for full immunity from being fired for anything I say.
WHEREFORE, in either case, I would still want 3-6 months of paid training that would be classified as a ‘beautification period’ where I would also simultaneously undergo orthodontic treatment to correct my smile.
SO ORDERED.
